I apologize for the partial nudity, but we'd just come in from swimming in the lake and the wine wasn't opening itself.  I didn't actually have a corkscrew (my trusty yellow scaled Compact has been MIA for a bit) so the only way to get into it was with a trick that some guy name Tim Leatherman taught me.  Of course, when he taught me to do it, he didn't use a SOG PowerLock....  :ahhh

  • Not all those who wander are lost.
Guy came into the store yesterday and was asking where the corkscrews were. hey, I'm just a chip thrower for a vendor, so I said over in sporting good, they call them Victorinox Swiss Army Knives. He looked at me, no, I wanted a corkscrew. Umm, so I hollered at a Walmart Associate, and he suggested some other obscure place in housewares. Told the guy to get a Vic SAK, they have corkscrew tools on them and he cloud carry it with him anywhere.

See what you did to me,  :MTO: :ahhh

Borrowed my son's Leap for this one.

I was pretty sure it had a BO - But I could not find it - I opened every b100dy tool, I even looked inside the plier section even tho all the tools are outside opening  :twak:
I finally found it under the flat Phillips.

It is a very fine BO BTW
-The tool lip catches the rim perfectly, the rounded 'heel' of the opener fits perfectly on top of the bottle, and makes the lever, and opening action, very, very easy
Possibly the best of any MT I have tried ! - I think I might have to change my favourite BO declaration in the worst BO poll

My wife left her Charge TTI out, so since I haven't used this tool in several years, I thought I'd see if the bottle opener really deserves top billing in the Worst Bottle Opener Poll. It worked well enough, much better than my vote, which was for the Squirt

Thanks for the mention of the poll theonew - Completely agree with your assessement on the Charge and the Squirt Bottle Opener.

That's how you know you raised them right... you don't want to raise a moocher that constantly has to borrow someone else's bottle opener to open his beer!   :ahhh

Plus it gives him an opportunity to get his leap out and make his mates want to buy one to, and and add more potential members to the fold  :tu:

She's not even drinking the wine... Great job in opening the cork! I'd be afraid of the dreaded snap!

Perhaps have a contest where everyone has to post with their picture upside down, sort of down under theme.  :D

Oh, she drank all right!

I was worried about breaking the blade as well, but in the end, it's a SOG and it wouldn't have been difficult to replace it.  Besides, we needed the lovely wine inside so it was worth the risk!

Do you mean the Brown/yellow sak? That's a Victorinox DofE Mossy Oak Camo. I put it in the list bolded.

I used this month: Wenger Commander, Victorinox Rogue, SOG Crosscut and Victorinox DofE I think... they should all be in the list...
