Scissor spring for vintage models - looking for help!

I have a nice 1940s vintage 91 mm model with the old style single leaf scissor spring which is broken.  I've removed the broken spring but don't know where to get an old one or whether a new large (for 91mm) will fit.  The scissor spring hole does not appear to be champhered on one side.  Anyone with experience with this? Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Short answer, no. I can't get a modern 91mm spring in a Vic with the older hole.  I tried it on my oldest functional SAK--a mid 1970s Craftsman that I received with only a tiny remnant of the spring in the scissors.  The hole is just slightly smaller on those older models.   Your best bet is to find an old junker with a good spring.   I had a Fisherman model from the late '60s on which everything was broken, yet surprisingly still had a good spring on the scissors, which I put in the Craftsman.

Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Buck 112 Ranger for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the 110 knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the leatherman (supertool, core, hacks) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Thank you, very helpful.  I won't waste money buying a new spring now.  Trouble is even old junkers for parts seem to cost too much these days!  Wondering if anyone makes or mods springs for pre '75 Vics?

If your talking about the spring from a non hook model and without the nail file then you are in luck. Some of us, including me, have a few spares :).

Wow!  How would I go about buying one from you?  Just to double check this is a 91mm 1946-50 model like the Climber but with no hook and originally had the one leaf spring.  Thank you.
