I have used the sub-10mm(9mm, 8mm and 7mm) sockets on occasion when I did car stereo installs and modifications in college(amplifier casings used the 9mm sometimes, as well as head unit brackets on some cars), but I don't think I've used a 9mm since then. And with my particular profession, the metric sets don't see much action, unless I have to work on my car.
I look at it as a reason to buy more toys....I mean tools.

Kool-Aid?
I've only used a very special kind of 9mm, and it's not something I should talk about
I think I've had to reset car wipers a few times, and those nuts were 9mm.
Colgate shampoo bottle + fuel hose + 9mm socket = bong
so, they were nuts
I've heard of train- and birdwatchers - am I slowly turning into a socket watcher?

I honestly have no idea which sized sockets I use most often.
That seems like quite a handy box. I have some Kamasa set for portable, but it is more like car portable than carrying around portable. And oh the joy every time I open it upside down and get to sort all the pieces back in...
