I have to say that the new Kansbol has jumped right to the top of my wish list.

(Image removed from quote.)

I'm hoping that green handle and sheath will end up on a Garberg but in the interim, I'll have to have one of these...esp at the advertised price of $26.95!!!

I think that sounds like the plan.  From what I'm hearing in this you can either buy it with the retaining loop, neck cord and ferro rod, or you can buy it with just the sheath and, as far as I can see, you don't seem to get a belt loop at all.

I know what you mean, but at around 20secs he does call it "neck knife kit or pocket sized knife".  I do understand that it could just be a language barrier though.

They do call it a "pocket sized fixed blade".
I guess you can fit it in a jacket pocket.

Plenty of traditional stubby bladed knives out there like the Helle Nying and the Brusletto Balder to be considered as well.

It's priced at $22.95 (Pre order)
https://www.knifecenter.com/item/FT12647/morakniv-eldris-pocket-size-fixed-12c27-blade-black-polypropylene-handle-plastic-sheath

I haven't seen it for sale in the UK yet although the best chance is probably a pre order with Heinnie Haynes.

Last one (I think) from me, though there is always the chance I'm forgetting one. :-[  Another older model is the Viking 660, but I've seen it still listed on a couple of sites.

Cheers again SAK Guy.  The only "problem" with it is that it makes it hard to justify buying another synthetic handled Mora. :D

The Viking 660 could be a good alternative at this price.
They seem to be popular on eastern European sites.

I've no idea if I'm right or not, but I feel that the Viking 640/660 was the updated version of the 740/760 from when Frosts became Morakniv.  I'd be interested to hear if someone knows the actual story though. :)

BTW, here's one site that still seems to have the Viking 660 in stock. http://firestriker.co.uk/mora-viking-660.html  no connection, not a recommendation, deal with at your own risk etc etc....
