111mm Garant scales with pen

Why are these the only 111mm scales that have a pen?  :rant:
No other 111mm scales have the pen, and these are promotional, so nobody sells them individually.



Merit Badges  Carry tools with single functions only. No multi-tools, no multi-layer Swiss Army Knives, no combo one-piece tools and post a photo for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Delemont SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK-alike, aka multi-layered, knife-based pocket tools for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the leatherman (supertool, core, hacks) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of  a Bladeless Multitool for 30 days Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Farmer X SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for thirty (30) consecutive days. For each of the 30 days, or for as many as you are able to, post a picture of: Progress- Meals- Activities- Gear and participate in the thread and encourage each other. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of either an Axe, MT/Folding knife or Fixed blade (picked at the beginning of challenge) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the pen for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the 111mm sak for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of  a Opinel  knife  for 30 days Carry an orange item and post a picture of it everyday for 30 days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day.

Those are so cool. Love the dark blue with the orange accents. And yes, 111mm plus scales should totally be a thing. :gimme:

Are you looking to buy one? They were originally going for around USD35 shipped at the US Garant store a few years back... I see them pop up on ebay every now and then, at USD70 shipped from Netherlands.

Nah, that's too much for those, even if the scales have a pen.
I have a Signature on my keys, so I'm ok though.

Very cool! Did not realise this even existed. I googled to find it's a Nomad with the mini corkscrew and a pen.

I'm now wondering what cool additional things might be put in the 111mm scales given the space available...  :gimme:

A firesteel would fit, a thin one, or maybe have a bit thicker scales, like on 58mm with the pen & light.
Finger nail file?  :think: Like the bits from a Swiss Card. Maybe removable scissors?
A MicroSD card. A fish hook. Longer, sturdier tweezers.
