Advanced Notice: I'll be joining in here after Christmas, as I just happen to know what Mrs. EMarkM and her little girl are getting for me...     ;)

Sounds like a great Christmas EMarkM!

I might as well join in...

I've had the slide lock Work Champ since 1999. I will admit to not really looking after it as I should have done over the years, so recently I bought the liner lock model to give the old girl a rest. One of these days I'll clean it up and give it a good sharpen, but for now, the newbie does the job on the occasions it's required. Although it won't see much outdoor action these days due to work/knife regs, so it's stuck with doing the odd job around the house. Still, after all this time, I couldn't be without one and 91mm SAKs seems very strange and small to handle to me.

Same as other posts, here's what you should have seen. :D

I sold my Workchamp years ago. But a while back I got one in a large batch of SAKs. I had forgotten how nice these are :)
This one is in fairly good condition. Mechanickal would probably complain about the large number of fingerprints on it

You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

When the price is right, fingerprints are a non-issue.

However, with the amount present on the last item from you, I think I had enough material to unlock your phone with it :pok:

So, €30 for that one?

I like the idea of a Work Champ SOS kit!  I have mine on my belt right now, in the green Vic case, but want to put together a kit like yours.  Was the kit an option for the Workchamp?

I am a die-hard Swisschamp fan, but the longer I carry this knife, the more I like it.  For me, it carries well and I like the tool set.

It wasn't an option Barry.

I bought the dual pouch and assembled the items.Or you can buy an SOS kit with the Swisschamp and substitute your Workchamp.

I've admired these SAKs for a long while.  I bought one over the weekend but mistakenly ( to my delight ) thought it was a Hercules.  After playing with a while I realized my error.  Its a handful and wow that long Phillips snaps like a bear trap.  Now that I have one , what the heck  :D?  Is it a Swiss Champ on steroids?

Nice one Aloha! ...even if by accident.  :tu:

I got a slide lock version in new condition...and now I’m thinking I gotta get a couple more. I didn’t realize these were still made with anodized liners, and I really prefer that for users.

I’m thinking this is what I should have gotten instead of the Ranger Grip 71. Workchamp just feels so much more familiar, and has everything I use around the house.

And if Victorinox is listening, they should make some of the horticultural blades for this frame. A few locking hawksbill options would be great.

:iagree:.  I'm going to carry it today for yard work.  I would love a horticulturist option.

I really enjoy carrying mine.  I really don't notice the size, and actually enjoy how it handles.  For a big knife it fits my medium sized hands well, and the tool set works for my needs.  I'd like to see a horticultural spin on this theme!  I actually enjoy carrying mine more than the Swisschamp, and I love that knife.  Nice catch Aloha!

Thanks.  I carried it all day yesterday.  I actually enjoyed it very much.  Used the drivers to help me take apart my drier so I could clean out the lint.  Cut up hose and foam as well as used the scissors.  I carried it in my front pocket which was ok. I think a sheath would be best for me.  I like a lot about this SAK and am happy to finally have one.

I use the green cloth sheath that Vic sells for the 111s for mine.  It works well and you hardly notice it there.

My slide-lock Workchamp and a Rescue Tool.

I wish I got a slide lock (any) before this. Didn’t know what I was missing out on. Thanks to Barry and others for recommending them in the comparison thread.  :tu: So much nicer to use over liner locks or the push button in the Ranger Grip.

I think I also gotta get a red one for heavier use. And maybe a couple for some super-secret-squirrel mods.
