Ah.  For some reason I read it as 7.1 plus.  Hope you like it!

If you are looking for an inexpensive android with a big battery check out the LG Charge X  I had used one briefly before I got my Samsung S7.  I upgraded to the Samsung because I wanted something a bit smaller and also because I got a great deal on it.

It was a decent phone I never really gave it a chance because I got it for next to nothing and then the deal came along on the S7 and I couldn't pass on the upgrade.

I still have it sitting in a box as a backup if I ever need one.

My only experience with budget phones was a Moto G4, and I have to say that it felt great for the price back then.  :)
But now it’s old, and there are better budget phones.

going from the Nexus 4 to Moto G5 Plus hasn't been as bad as I had expected. I guess I was expecting something similar to Samsung bloat where they have their own Samsung apps installed alongside the traditional/Google versions that do the exact same thing

That is the only (to me) drawback to Samsung  there flagship models suffer less because of good insides but the I would go with other brands for budget models for sure  :ahhh and I did when I had an LG  I had a Stylo 3 and was very impressed with it overall :like:

I reckon Samsung devices are crippled by their own bloat, and they have the potential to be great phones...

Gotta say i rooted and changed roms of all my past phones just cause of those bloatwares, i allmost keeped Note 4 but when motherboard went faulty i ordered new motherboard replaced old and sell it. Note 3 is this best Note compared to Note 4, 5, Edge and 7 cause its stable and components wont fail down easily

Pretty long but only downside is that updates wont be on same stage as on higher price range. Usually mid range gets update or two before development stops, custom roms might get bit more updates but it depends on popularity of phone

Nokia phones are part of Android One, which get android updates for two years and security updates for three years, at least.
So, example, the Nokia 7 plus. Released with Oreo in 2018, updated to Pie late this year, and will receive Q as well.
In theory.  :D

Just to say that current Nokia phones are Nokia only by name, so do not expect old Nokia quality or durability...  :dunno:

No one seems to update any model for long, they want you to buy the new model to get the updated software.

Google seems to neglect their offerings rather quickly, even though they typically run quite vanilla installs.

I think the best you can really hope for is one major update from the version the device came with, then you have to start looking at unofficial sources.
