Z Unit here, still with my modded DAK.

I’d rather have a file or saw in place of the curved blade, but it is what it is.





I tried installing a KWIK thumb stud, but quickly realized it would not work...



It did make it easier for me to one hand open the blade. I have big hands but short digits. However, I soon realized with it installed, I could not open the curved blade or can opener tool as the stud blocked them!  Oops!!



So off it came!  Haha!!

Yeah. I was disappointed. I was able to open that blade really fast, compared to just the thumb hole.

I could survive with partially opening the main blade to get to the curved blade, but way too much work for the can opener tool.

Sad...

Does one still qualify for SAKMC if one has a Classic on a keychain in addition to a Farmer X?

My usual SAKMC is either my older silver Pioneer X with a Nite Ize Hip Clip installed (for work...the clip is wrapped with tape so as to not scratch the new cars...) or my MT.O Pioneer X using a suspension clip (when away from work...).

But lately I’ve been trying to carry my modded DAK (scales replaced with those from my Centurion with the Swiss Bianco pocket clip...). I like the one hand opening and larger size, but not so thrilled with the partial serrated main blade.

But, the main thing I think is that you only EDC one SAK at a time. Not counting what’s on your keychain!  Haha

Well, I almost awlways EDC just one SAK and a 58mm.  I don't think I've ever carried two SAKs of 84mm or larger at the same time. I just like to have an Ambassador or Classic around for T&T and small scissors when needed.

But then that starts to sound like you have a cute little mistress on the side, in addition to your main squeeze.......... :facepalm:
