Two bijoux.  Almost mirror images.  ...

To solve Garys "spot the difference", the black one is a BijouSD. Just nitpicking here ...

Oh, and the toothpick of the black one is in the tweezer's slot ... Or the scales position was changed ... Ahh, the problems of symmetry.  :dunno:
Best regards and stay safe,

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,
It is a little strange how these two are laid out.  Black and white are both logo (advertiser) knives.  The white one has the Vic shield on the usual front side with the logo on the back.  The black one has the Vic shield on the usual back side with the logo on the front.  That's why it looks like the toothpick and tools etc. are reversed.
The black Bijou was a Goodwill store $1 purchase.  The white Bijou was one I got from the Traveling Mystery Box.  It is good to see tool people are still reading the Small SAK thread.  I like these little knives.  Best wishes.  Gary

Two little Bijoux,
Black and white,
One like the moon,
One like the night.
One is darkness,
One is light.
Two little Bijoux,
Black and white.

Thanks for the explanation, Gary. That's clear now.  :tu:

And a fine poem.

Made me think about one of my favorite knives, the Spyderco Chaparral Sun & Moon. Has a white and a black side of G10. The white side has a red inlay of G10 (the sun), the black side has an inlay of Mother of Pearl (the moon).

Oh, and I really have a soft spot for small knives, 58mm, 65mm, 74mm, having lots of these ...  :like:

You know I have to look up some acronym from this site every day.  I had to look up FTD plastic or something this morning.  Maybe it was STP, or BVD?  I forget.  Oh, and GFL too.  I had to look that one up.  Another kind of plastic.  Now it is FTFY.  Must be an abbreviation for fifty.  I'm going to have to find another hobby PDQ.  Now I'm doing it.   FPS (for Pete's sake)

Gary, in the forum section "Questions & (hopefully!) Answers" (nope - abbreviated of course "Q's and (hopefully!) A's") you can find a sticky thread called "list of popular acronyms" https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,2260.0.html

It's quite interesting, and you can read it asap. SCNR. And believe me, as non-native reader, it's sometimes a bit difficult.  But one can learn something new every single day, or try that at least...

Hi Wolfgang,
I have decided that it is much more fun to not look up acronyms.  Instead from now on I will just make up a definition on my own.  For example.  SNCR.  That now means 'snicker' which can mean a snarky sort of laugh, or a candy bar with peanuts and sticky caramel that sticks to your teeth.  I prefer to use the candy bar definition this morning.  If that becomes boring later on in the day, I might change it again.  SNCR could mean a computer industry.  Or something you use on a fishing line.
You have made Tony want another knife with your pretty Spyderco photo.  That was naughty.  Tony already has 4300 knives and his house may blow apart at the seams if he gets any more.  That's how many he has in his kitchen.  You should see his basement...
How about sending a nice photo or two of some of your smaller Swiss Army Knives and posting them on this thread?  Use as many acronyms or as few as you please.  It is always a treat to hear from you.  Best wishes.  Gary

Lots of time to decide, Tony.  I decided to take a shot of a Rally with one of the very valuable and rare Where's George dollars.  I get these every now and then, but they are usually just rubber stamped.  Somebody put this one in a printer.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR) :D

Just saw the Mini Champ thread. Maybe I'll try it but not on the keys

Why not...?
Its not that heavy, and makes for a very usefull key chain... :salute:

Id love an Alox Rambker, or the other one i can't remember the name,  same as the minichamp but without the ruler and "coke spoon".
However those  are also usefull.
Its a bit expensive but IMO extremely usefull

What i can't figure out is why Vic doesn't make Alox Rambles,  way more usefull than the Classic

That little 'coke spoon' is actually really useful for measuring out small amounts of ascorbic acid to use for lowering the ph of water for horticulture.

I've been trying to experiment with this 58mm on a key ring idea.  I will have to figure out some way to tether my Minichamp to SOMETHING if I am going to carry it.  If I just pocket carry the thing, it will be gone.  So, I put a snap link gimmick on the ring with my USB drive and put a Classic SD on the link.  Carried it to town this morning.  Annoying.  The link is a little too long, and the standard Vic key ring too short.  I would like to be able to detach the knife to use it, rather than hold a wad of keys as I try to snip or cut something.  More tests.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

You know, I have some brass fishing swivels somewhere.  Haven't found them.  Minichamp challenge is a month away, so I will figure out something.  Might just tie the snap link to a cord and put the Mini in a pocket.  What's for lunch, Sr. Santos?  Best wishes.  Gary

Went to a restaurant, today. Had pig's secrets. Not the ones in the pic, but very similar.
