I haven't posted a little SAK photo in a while.  I wonder why the blue scales always look so good in a photo, but are navy blue (almost black) in real life?  Christmas Eve?  Hard to believe that.  Best wishes and Ho, Ho, Ho.  G

That's a good looking blue Gary.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas Eve with their loved ones.

The blue Classic is sitting on a Red Cedar stump.  It fell in my driveway earlier this year.  The Cedar, not the Classic.  You can see my newest lanyard modification.  Much lighter than the one I used during the MiniChamp challenge.  I have been working out with the Classic a little.  Getting used to it.  Can't risk an injury.  Might pull something.
Nando, I hope you have sharpened up your nice black Classic for the upcoming challenge.  How did the blue scales that you took off your Bro in Law's knife polish up?  If you don't need them, slide them under the flaps of the surprise box.  I might try to use them.
Tony, I hope you are well and ready to watch some football.  Probably too cold to go to the beach today.  Still not too late to get into the Classic challenge.  Starts January first.  Just a hint, Mr. President.  Best wishes to awl. G

Good timing Gary.  I was going to work on them tomorrow morning and see how shiny I can get them again.  I'll send them your way.

The MIGHTY 58mm.  Yesterday I had a hose burst on a job.  I grabbed a hose clamp to do a temporary fix but left my LM on the truck  :twak:.  Because I alway have my Midnight Manager ( thanks FolderBeholder ) I was able to use it to tighten the hose clamp using the nail file sideways.  No damage to my Manager and I didn't have to walk back to my truck.

 :salute:  to my Midnight Manager.

That's what SAKs are for.  Get the job done with what you have on hand.  This would be dull without a photo.  So..... let's see what we can find.  Best wishes.  G

My new Tuscan Sun Classic SD and my new to me Ruby Red Rally.  I did a scale swap on the Minichamp for Persian Indigo (purple).  Gave up the pen for the purple scales as it was a gift for my wife and purple is her favorite color.

Rally doesn't get a lot of love, but it really is a lot of useful in a minimal package.  I like the purple a lot.  Looks like a grape tootsie roll pop.  Best wishes.  Gary

I have to agree, it's a good pop of color.  I liked it so much I was considering getting another set of Persian Indigo scales just so I could swap it onto a spare Classic SD.   :D

I was looking for a 58mm and wound up taking out a drawer and going through the rubble.  I found a knife that I knew I had but hadn't seen in years.  Don't see a lot of knives with a flower pot on the scales.  I will post a photo.

Not the nicest knife that I own, but unusual none the less.  I found it in a washer at a laundromat years ago.  Makes more sense if you see it next to something else.  The white 58mm is my favorite Bijou.  Best wishes.  G

You did the Throgg's Neck Small SAKs Association proud in the Opinel challenge.  I got a pretty Opinel from a lady in California but had to watch from the bleachers.  I am going through Post Withdrawal symptoms now.  No challenges.  No carrying a cheapie for a week or two.
Maybe it won't be too long until you get to go down to the beach again.  And I can crank my mower and cut some grass.  The deer have been eating grass as fast as they can, but are falling behind.  Maybe next week the weather will be fit to mow some.
Congrats on your badge, Tony.  The members of TNSSA salute you.  Best wishes.  G
