Just received my Magnum by Boker “Cuisine Knife.” Its a honking big folding kitchen or picnic knife with one hand opening and a liner lock. It’s intended for for food processing. Blade is 440a whatever that may actually mean, very thin blade stock, and very long square ended blade—a coping blade shape without the thick spine to back it up. The blade shape has a Japanese name, according to some reviewer, but I forget the word.

Another reviewer issued a warning, because after a strong flick opening his liner lock went past the blade flange and allowed the blade to close. I ordered mine before seeing his warning. Mine seems not prone to overshoot the blade tange, but I am being careful anyway. After use in preparing two meals, I have to say I find it quite a useful addition. Kind of a pairing knife on steroids that can also cut like a long knife when you’re in a hurry and don’t want to change knives. It’s also handy that it folds up in the knife drawer and it would be excellent to take car camping or picnicking. Backpackers would only like it if they were willing to carry two knives. Some are, but the ultra lighters are not. So I see this as a kitchen knife that can go on picnics. At $19 to $25 around the Internet, it’s a low cost experiment in food processing cutlery. And I actually carried it and it’s 4 plus inch blade today. It fills your pocket, but I’ve always liked a full pocket. Most won’t want to EDC it though.

Case Medium Texas Jack.

Like the pattern, could be a little larger for a gerlneral purpose knife.
Already ordered two Copperheads, still not delivered after 2 weeks.

Nice write-up mate.  :tu:  I've thought about this knife on and off for a while but, if I'm honest, I (personally) really wouldn't have a use for it and it'd just end up gathering dust.  Glad to see you're getting some use out of it though. :)
