84mm scissors screw
on: September 28, 2016, 11:40:38 PM
I just received my "new" Victorinox Salesman, and its got a strange looking screw.  It almost looks like the end of the screw was punched.  This is my first 84mm Vic with scissors so I don't know if this is normal or not.  Any replies are appreciated.

NO EXPERT.............One should be along soon :tu:
But scissor/shears screws are Peened on the back side to keep them from just unscrewing during use, as a scissor pivot screw must be a tad loose so you can actuate them with your fingers..........  ??? or so I was told  :D

That's what I figured.  I've never seen another SAK with scissors that looked like that.  I also don't have a huge collection.   I'm on the hunt for a Small Climber now.
