Thanks for the feedback, then I'm not the only one with this experience.  :cheers:

Bread, cheese and dry sausage, for example, is considered a simple meal here.
But after hours of hiking in the mountains, it was a feast and tasted unbeatably good!

Wonderful pictures Sneider.  Food does taste especially good during/mid/after a hike.  Even a handful of dried fruits along the trail are so yummy.
