Found this amazing video... that Ratchet is awesome, the restoration too.


Oh, and it appears that guy is from Switzerland...  :woohoo:

Wow! I feel I've got much love for the tool and the restorer ;-)
The ratchet sound in the end is glorious... also liked how he made the ball, that was satisfying.

oh, and that ratchet is brilliant German engineering.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I have almost the same ratchet, maybe a bit younger though - brilliant to work with!
I've replaced the flathead with a bitholder (added a small cutout so it fits now), so its really handy.

Sad truth: I pulled it out of a container at our local recycling center. Someone wanted to throw away such a beauty!

Great modification with the bit-holder.


@sad truth: Not really sad, just a reality. Everybody has stuff he wants (or should) get rid off. Removing clutter from your life is mostly a good idea. Finding someone who wants it is time consuming and often simply not worth it (and if the item is of little value, sending it to someone is not an option either). So, into the garbage it goes.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.
