Super link Smashie! The basic technology of a lever escapement watch movement driving three time keeping hands is extremely mature. The differences among them are primarily in how they're laid out, and how complications are incorporated. It's very hard to find a tutorial on how a mechanical watch movement works that has sufficiently simple clarity for the newcomer. Thanks to Grant for making this a stickie.
