Knives hit frame in powerlock
on: August 21, 2017, 01:27:23 AM
I love the power lock, but I've noticed that there is basically zero knife rest. You can just push the blade edges directly into the handle.  (I have a similar issue on some of my Gerber mps, but not as bad.)

Does anyone else have an issue with this?

I noted a similar problem over here, BlackTip Fishing Multi-Tool.

Any pressure to the back of the blade will push the cutting edge into contact with the lock release.

It happens when closing the blade too.

I think I am going to try to install some sort of plastic blade rest in the corners.   :-\

Blade edge hitting plastic has to be better than blade edge hitting sheet metal.   ???
