Might just be the time difference, but there's not enough support from the south here.

On behalf of folks with the southern cross on their flag, and hideous ocean dwelling creatures -

you've got this mate.

Al I totally get what you are saying.  Last year when I got hurt it was a very bad time for me.  Very inconvenient timing- I had a lot of balls in the air that I could just barely manage at the best of times and I was struggling to do everything.  It wasn't too much for me to handle, but it was getting there.

Then I broke my ankle and everything came crashing down,  and I felt pretty damned horrible about everything- after all, Megan had just started a new job in a new city, I had empty apartments and work that needed to he done on the house, we'd spent almost all of our money on moving, Christmas and house repairs and suddenly there was nothing coming in and a lot of bills left to go.  More even, since the work I needed to do couldn't get done with me on my arse.

I won't lie, there were times when I was really low.  I mean really low.

Then I heard that Dave Ling (3in1) passed away and that put a lot of things in perspective for me, especially considering Dave was a lot younger than me.

I won't say everything was sunshine and roses from there on in, but it helped me realize that what I lost was still nothing compared to what I still had, and what I had was worth holding on to.

You don't need to be strong forever, you just need to stand up one more time than the world can knock you down.  Sometimes it's easier said than done, and I should know because standing on broken feet gets real unpleasant real fast, but if I can do it, everyone else can too.

Even if you need your friends to help you get there once in a while

Zoid, I loved your pics since day one and they inspired me to get some of my favorite tools and blades (Gerber, for instance, was "rediscovered" by me through your pics and comments). You are such an artistic and peculiar folk!
If there's anything I can do for you, just say it. We're all mates here, and nice ones.

Best wishes,

You don't need to be strong forever, you just need to stand up one more time than the world can knock you down.

Not to lighten the mood, but that should seriously be on a coffee mug or something..

Again Zoid thoughts and prayers are still with you! Like everyone else here, I hope whatever it is gets better and am here for you :tu:

All you want to know about the 7.5 quake:
https://www.geonet.org.nz/quakes/region/newzealand/2016p858000
Since then, there have been 1500 aftershocks, many of them felt and some caused damage.  :(
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

I haven't heard from him since the quake.  I hope someone else has.

I'm just hoping he is just busy right now and that he comes back soon.

We miss you buddy.  I hope you are safe.

I dropped an email the other day as it had been a week since the quake/his last login.

guessing Syncop8r's text will likely get to him before my email.
