Summertime comes and I strap this one on for weeks at a time.  Brilliant movement and solid construction.

Nice Casio, clown! I wore a Casio for years and do miss it. But, at this point, I have too many watches to buy anymore.

One of my favorite watches. Seiko "5" 21j Automatic.

Thanks! I like that Seiko.  A Seiko 5 was actually on my short list when I bought that Casio.  It will likely be my next watch.  Glad to hear you like it! :tu:

You really can't go wrong with a Seiko 5. Tons of styles to choose from and very reliable.

A bit of a hodge podge today, but the watch I'm wearing today is an Invicta Chronograph Model# 5767.

Citizen Solar-Tech Chronograph today. Love this watch for a lot of reasons. The rechargeable capacitor cell battery is really weak, so I will be buying a new $27 battery for it soon.

Dug this old boy up yesterday and wore it.  Love this watch.   It's a Heuer and a Sinn; a Seuer?  a Hinn?

I like the inverted color display, JR! :like:

Finally called Movado to get a quote on replacing the battery in my 800 Series Chronograph. I could buy a nice Timex for what they wanted to charge. I just decided to go for it and do it myself. The stories about case pressure and one-time seals is a load of smurf-dung. It is just a fancy screw-off case back and 395 battery. Only finicky thing was the retainer and screw, but I stayed patient and changed my Movado battery for $6 myself. Saved about $60(they also said it would be another $95 if the case seal needed to be changed.... $0.15 o-ring). ::)
I love this watch, but I don't recommend Movado as a brand. Their watches are phenomenally well-made, but their customer service is way below-par(cost-wise).
Anyway. TL-DR.Pics.

1st gen. Apple Watch

Handy for notifications and alerts, but totally not worth its asking price, and with a battery life of barely 8 hours, it’s not ideal for traveling or spending any extended time outdoors or anywhere with no access to a power outlet.

Thank you very much, Myron!

I am guessing you mean the Universal?

Quite an odd watch and acquired in an odd circumstance. I know a lady who inherited a bunch of vintage wrist watches. He was a watchmaker. Most of the watches need a lot of help, and the Universal was no exception. I bought about twenty watches from her. The man did have a slip of paper saying it had been serviced about 12 years ago. The crystal is glass and was absolutely scratched to the point the dial looked bad. Usually an acrylic crystal is a 1,2,3 polish with brasso. Not glass though.  I took it apart to check the movement and saw the dial was immaculate(hands are fair, but lumis isn't perfect. 70+yo watch, so that isn't a deal breaker. I sanded the glass down with 180 grit Emory paper, rough polished on the cloth wheel and finished with a hand polish with brasso.
I don't have any information outside of that. The band isn't original, but seems perfect for it.
Here are a couple of photos of the crystal work. :ahhh

Thank you for the interest, myron! :)
