Spent the last couple of weeks reading this entire thread. You folks have some very nice watches. A couple that stand out in my memory are a Marathon Diver and a full lume Damasko that each made multiple appearances.

Having a few days off with the kids during their Easter holidays so the edc is more "smart casual" than hard use.

Citizen promaster Tough and dragonox today.

Makes a nice change

That’s pretty cool, I’m guessing you need a cell phone to get the info off of like the other watches

Some features, yes, others I can do via on-board GPS on the watch itself. Overall, I do like it.

Saturday. Weekend. Sun is shining, life almost feels normal. An amazing opportunity to just sit down, take a sip of coffee and relax for a minute or two - nowhere to rush. Trees are blooming, people are smiling, it’s Easter tomorrow and our victory is coming .

I love this watch. I’ve been chasing this perfect balance of color, form, function and the price for quite a while and this is my absolute perfection. Glad I found it. Make me feel something really special every time I glance at it.

Last week my Samsung Frontier crapped out and I have been enjoying getting back to "real" watches ever since.

Today is an absolute gem, and a gift from a departed friend, my Luminox Blackout.

It needed a new battery when I pulled it out of the drawer last week, but that wasn't a big deal and now it is back on my wrist where it belongs.

Probably my favorite watch, and directly responsible for all of my nicer watches, my Seiko Orange Monster.

Not bad for a watch I didn't think I wanted!

I was reading all of Cluve Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels and there were frequent references to Dirk's orange Doxa dive watch and I figured I wanted one.  That is, until I saw the price and decided I didn't want one after all.

Then I found out about the Orange Monster and I wanted one, so I set about trying to find a decent priced used one, and along the way I sort of felt that I'd rather maybe have the Black Monster as maybe I'm not really flashy enough to have a bright orange watch.

That's when I found this one for sale on KF for $80 with no strap.  I snapped it up instantly and agonized about it being too flashy for the longest while.  I may have even tried to trade or sell it before it even arrived.

But, I decided to bite the bullet, get a strap for it and wear it, and, when I finally had it in hand, I was very pleased with the rock solid build quality of it, and the orange color grew on me as well.

I was so proud of it in the early days that a friend of mine, SwissMan here on the forum, harassed me unceasingly about sending it to him, which he knew I'd never do.

Eventually he got one for himself and it opened the floodgates for him, as he started to collect watches.  He'd pick them up at pawn shops, thrift shops and anywhere else he could find them, and most he would give away- including the Blackout I posted yesterday, and some more that you will see in the near future.

Unfortunately SwissMan passed away last year from COVID, which makes all of these watches completely invaluable to me.  The memories of a great friend, a better one than I ever deserved, make these already great watches so much better.

I wonder how much value my fancy orange strap adds?   :D
