A black Camper with Leatherman friend along for the photo.  This is one of the few Vics that I have with a pin and mini-screwdriver.  Happy Three-Layer Thursday everyone.  Best wishes.  Gary

Does this 3-layer count in today’s thread? Or, must it be a 91mm unit?

IMR - I am a bit late on the response, but, yes, the prior post is a camper.  You have a good eye.

    Hi Jeff,
There are no length restrictions as long as there are three layers.  I just made up that rule.  I hope it sounds official.  That looks like a beauty.  Best wishes.  Gary

Nice photos, awl.  I like the pocket clip on the ring, magic man.  Seems like a much better solution than mounting it on the SAK itself.  At least for me.  It looks as if friend Aztec is busy spending money on new red handled cutlery.  Love some Wenger action as well.  Is that the one with the whistle in the middle?
Everyone make sure you dig out that old dusty Spartan and meet everyone back for Spartan Saturday tomorrow.  It is bound to be fun if everybody pitches in.  Best wishes.  Gary

Spartans with wavy blades are welcome too, Tony.  It has felt like Spring for the last couple of days.  There is a little green showing here and there.  Hope to see you on Spartan/Weekender Saturday.  Best wishes.  G

It's a Wenger Spotlight I picked up awhile ago.  Finally got a round to cleaning the crud out of it.  Now I need to see if the bulb works.

AC,
you'll gonna need AAAA size batteries for this or the Wenger Laser. Not a common size
Best regards and stay safe,

Wolfgang

Yup, I learned the hard way.  LOL!

I was getting annoyed that the AAA wasn't fitting till I took a good look and then did some research online.  Never heard of AAAA till I got this Wenger.  Anyone know where to find a replacement bulb.  I only keep finding the screw on type and I'm not having much luck looking for an LED replacement.

How about a photo and some measurements for the old bulb?  Most wouldn't know what sort of bulb came with it.  Best wishes.  G

Good point Gary.

The calipers measure the bulb at 4.55mm in diameter and about 10.4mm long.  I found the bulb specs on the SAK Wiki.

The bulb is familiar.  They used to come in some penlights.  I have owned some with that bulb once upon a time.  I don't think I have any now.  Might have to solder in a new socket to fit the screw in type.  Should be possible.  Best wishes.  Gary

Here is my slightly dusty Camper with some Plus enhancements.  I ordered some red plus scales from a seller on the bay, and got an extra set as shown below. I really like this color.  This will be today’s carry.

I missed seeing the Teepee/Tent scales. I agree with Sal,  I really like them.  What is the year range when that symbol was available?
Thanks

I don't really know when they started the teepee logo.  They are in the 1970 catalog.  Discontinued since first of 2023.  Used to be metal, but just inked now.  If you carry the non-metal types they wear off.  Ranger had the same logo.
I never used to like the graphics on SAKs, but have changed my mind.  Best wishes G

Climbers, and Campers, and Wengers.  Oh my!  Some great pix, everyone.  I seriously don't have an idea of what Aztec is going to do for scales.  Gotta be hard to find.  Original Cyclist scales are likely impossible.  If you ever gear up to make some 3D printed Wenger 85mm scales, you could probably sell some.
Wait a minute.  I just remembered that Wenger scales are unbreakable.  And I can prove it.  Read for yourself.  Best wishes.  G
