Nice Wenger.  Somebody didn't have a clue on sharpening.  The condition isn't perfect, but so what?  It looks like the front side scale is slotted for Victorinox type tweezers, or is that just a chip?  Probably not a lot of Wenger replacement scales out there.  Wenger used to advertise that they were unbreakable.  Mmmmm?  No.
Best wishes.  G
 :tu:

It's a chip and it's slotted for scale tools.  :D  The tweezers are still there but no toothpick.  I've been chatting with Farmer X about maybe me trying to 3D print a toothpick, just for esthetic reasons.

Aftermarket Wenger toothpicks can be found. I don't know if they're molded or 3D-printed, though.

Here's one of my favourite four-layers that I only really discovered recently. The Angler has two of my favourite SAK tools: the scaler and the pliers. I want to put plus scales on it but keep the front scale with the weird-looking fish thing on it so maybe I'll just swap the back scale because that's really the plus one :D.

Say, I have one of those too, Mr. T.  Wait a minute.  What happened to my pliers?  Best wishes.  G

Beautiful, and it has a hook, too! I wish there were a model currently in production that had both the scissors and pliers!

There is! If corkscrews are more your pace, there was a Deluxe Climber, but it's been out of production for at least a little while.

Thank you so much for your recommendation, Mr. X, but perhaps I should have been clearer; I wish there were currently a Fisherman/Angler in production with both the pliers and the scissors, making a SAK with: fish scaler, pliers, scissors, small and large blade, can opener, cap lifter, hook, awl, and corkscrew. I actually am lucky enough to have both the Deluxe Tinker and the Climber Deluxe -- the latter being perhaps my favourite four-layer SAK.

Perhaps I should have been clearer...
Victorinox did make a Deluxe Angler at one time. However, that was quite a while ago, and I'd suspect that if and when you find one, you'd have to fork over quite a chunk of change for it. Finding a SwissChamp with a broken saw and deleting the saw and ILP layers would be cheaper, and probably easier.

A Taskmate II for your viewing pleasure.

Another SwissBuck?  It has come to that.  Don't despair, friend Aztec.  As soon as I can clear the current hopeless wrecks out of my treatment facility, I will have room for you to start your detox.  No more sleepless knife fantasy ridden nights.  Be able to walk down the street with your pockets empty.  Becoming one with your family again.  The Dad and husband you were meant to be.  Living free of addiction.
Yes, the IMR treatment center can help you rebuild yourself.  Clean country air.  Pleasant surroundings.  Wild animals roaming the property.  Healthy diet.  Lots of lawn work therapy.  You can bunk in the same room with Tuisto.  On second thoughts, Tuisto reads Sanskrit at night and chants a little.  We will put him in a tent.  We call it an outdoor textile tabernacle.  Cozy.  Best wishes.  Gary (facility director)

What are the bears doing?  Toasting marshmallows?  My critters don't do much cooking to tell the truth.  I did put out a jar of peanut butter once.  That went over pretty well.  Can't put the jar out there actually.  They might get their heads stuck inside.  Got to empty it out on something first.
I guess it's time to do an early See-through Sunday.  Best wishes.  G

Red Farmer X  (KnifeCenter SFO) and I checking out the view from the top of Mt. Washington.

This Farmer X normally rides in my hiking pack as a backup to whatever else I may be carrying.

For four layer Friday I am carrying the EvoGrip S18. I am a fan of the evogrip scales. They switch things up and feel a little more premium than the plain cellidor. I also kind of like having a locking blade, after a mishap or two I have had closing slipjoints on the fingers. The scissors are good. Different than vic’s but stouter and more robust feeling. I don’t love the saw on this model. I feel like anything shorted than the saw on the 91mm becomes hard to use effectively.
