PLUS scales for 111mm knives?

It's obvious that the 111mm SAK's are increasing in popularity. What I want to know is Victorinox going to offer PLUS scales on their 111mm knives? I may retire my Fieldmaster for the Outrider since they have similar tools but I'll definitely miss the pen. Has anyone heard anything? Or could someone who has the ear of a company rep maybe suggest it?

Those Garant tweezers are cool. Nice photo! Adds another function! So what's the background on that model?

....oh, and I would like 111mm plus scales too, including especially StayGlow.

As far as I know these plus scales were exclusivly made for the knives of the Garant tool company. Beside the blue Nomad knife was also a grey Centurion knife (with philips), both with plus scales.

Even if they can't get a pen into the 84mm scales (seen it done though), this should be standard for ALL 91s and 111s. Although for the 111s, I think you've got enough depth for in the cut out scale for a second pin, and maybe even do a glasses type screwdriver opposite the pen.

Until then, these are very neat. I almost bought, but I had no idea what I was buying. *laughs*

I'm all for a pen and a pin. After all, the very essence of the SAK is including as many useful implements as possible.

I`m not sure if one of the shops which offer the knife would send it overseas, but you could try. If you google for "Taschenwerkzeug Garant" you find different shops.

I forgot: When I got mine the pin was not included but at least there is a space for the pin.

Howdy all,
There are 1 dozen sets of 111mm's and 36 sets of 84mm plus scales I made and offered for sale about 3 or 4 years ago on the Sosak forum. I intend to run some more but as you all likely know I have about 30 irons in ten fires at the moment. It sounds as though this needs to be moved up on the "to do" list. I do not see my 111mm pics but here is one of the 84mm mods.

I'd probably stash that pen away and put in a regular gray one, I figure if the orange one ever ran out, there's no replacing it.

I really like all the extra features on those SAKs.

Unfortunately Rotokid has long since retired from doing this kind of work due to health concerns.

I've just about goty 91mm Ti plus scales ready to go then I can have a try at Making some 111mm. I had 0lanned to do a back scale with built in pocket clip ad well.
