Fenix P3D with tactical body
on: November 22, 2007, 06:41:55 PM
Thought you might like to see a couple of (too dark) pics of the PEU tactical body for the P3D series;

The overall length stays the same as stock;

Just about fits in the stock sheath although it doesn't reach to the bottom;

Fiddy bucks from fenix-store.com. There is also a 3 - cell version for longer runtime; https://www.fenix-store.com/index.php?cPath=31_80&osCsid=b65846e8d2a67047823875362d0b6083

I P3D is one of my favorite lights that I have. This might be a stupid question, is the tactical body just so it's easier to hold with a handgun.

Short answer: I dunno  :D I think it's partly due to the slickness of the stock body (I covered mine in heat-shrink tubing for more grip) and partly 'cos we all like a shiny bolt-on, and if it says 'Tactical' it must be better :gimme: It does make it easier to hold 'cigar style' though.
