I like to use my Kukris along the scissors, pruners and shears,








always paired with a nice MT on the belt!

I could use a kukri. Unfortunately, Dutch law isn't very happy with large fixed blades.

I used this big boy this summer helping my grandmother harvest cabbage.   Unfortunately, I forgot to remind her the previous owner sharpened the normally unsharpened false edge opposite the normal one. So, she accidentally cut herself on that.  I had a Mark II prior to this, a Pal, I think, but it wasn't in good shape.  The handle had rotted off, as it had been under the roof of a garden shed for years on an adjoining property we lease before I got a hold of it. Found this 1973-1984 Camillus for $25, a steal when a non-Kabar Mark II is concerned.

For most garden use, a small knife is good enough.  I prefer that it have a serrated edge, and or be a hawkbill/pruner pattern.   My grandmother uses a large, old butcher knife for garden use.

All great tools in here I use a Hori-Hori knife when digging and transplanting and have several different saws for pruning and a good set of pruners (Fiskar not Felco ) I will have some Felco pruners one day though I have several different SAKs that I use, mainly ones with a saw and I also have a couple different pairs of scissors for other tasks

Except for tilling the garden with a motor tiller I try and keep things quite as well

Yes. The Felco no 2 is standard issue at work and I like it, so I got one of my own.

Model 2 Felco pruners?

Yes. The Felco no 2 is standard issue at work and I like it, so I got one of my own.

Felco is hard to beat and rarely disappoints.  I have a couple. besides my LM hybrid I don't use any others.

I just got another Opinel, the Sécateur, Shown with some cheap garden tools from a discount store. I bought the Opinel because my old Felco #2 had a broken blade and I didn´t feel like replacing any parts because replacing all bad parts would cost me more than a new one. Besides, the Felco #2 is standard issue at work and I don´t want my own shears to get mixed up.

They sharpened the swedge? Is there any real benefit to that?
