Early dated PSTs?
on: December 30, 2016, 10:08:33 PM
As we all know, Leatherman started to stamping production date codes on PST's handles from November 1992 (1192).
But it's not as easy as it seems  :)
I have few "One handle dated" PSTs (date codes on blade handle only, file handle has no date code): earliest 1192/----, latest 0193/----.
My earliest "Both handles dated" PST (with date codes on both handles) is 0593/0493 (blade/file handle).
Please, write date codes of yours dated PSTs:
  • Latest "One handle dated"
  • Earliest "Both handles dated"

I haven't noticed any "One handle dated" PSTs in my collection.
My earliest "Two handles dated" PST is 0593/0593 (a version 8] SS CC example)

I have three unmarked PSTs  (Japanese and American), but my earliest marked PST is a BO 0693/1093.
If my text is in blue, read it with sarcasm.  That is how it's meant!

I'll dig out some of my PST's and see what I've got.

Thanks for the info guys
I am more and more sure, since 1192 was made only "One (blade) handle dated" PSTs, and "Both handles dated" PSTs begins not earlier than 0493.

Looking forward to it
