Some backyard fun
on: June 04, 2020, 08:57:12 PM
Bored and frustrated with about everything lately, but at least I could make a diy pool for my 9yr old.  Some 2x10s and a tarp.  👍.

I wish I still had the photo. We made a long tarp slip and slide one humid summer day on my neighbors hill. Then we took her daughters waterfall kiddie pool, ran a hose to it and then built a ramp and used it as a landing pool. Well it didn't take to many beers to realize we lined the slip and slide up perfectly with the corridor between the house and garage. Needless to say, we got some pretty good air that day and the siding on my garage held up pretty well from a couple initial impacts

Oh I like the rc water toy idea!

My diy idea escalated and I ended up buying a 10 ft poly stock tank from a livestock supply place near me.   I got a floaty for chlorine, drilled holes and added bulk head tank adapters and magyvered the plumping.  Works a treat.  All public pools are closed near me still so this will keep my son happy and cooled off.

I'm trying to find some mini rc boats or subs now that idea is stuck in my head.   :D

'real' above ground pools are 5000+ and all totalled even with some Leveling sand I'm under 1000 so I think that's a win.   The guy I talked to from the livestock store said he wishes he ordered more of these since he sold out fast and has a long list for backorders so lots of people had the same idea I guess.  None were sold to farmers all to backyards.  Lol

I assume a stock tank must be to feed or water cattle normally.
