Pocket Shot Survival Kit.
on: October 19, 2022, 02:56:56 AM
How about a pocket style slingshot that comes in a compact case with a few other essential survival stuff? Sign me up, and that is exactly what I did when I stumbled upon this Amazon purchase. This looks like a nice way to put some food on your plate in an emergency. I have not tried it yet, but I have read that it is fairly accurate once you get the hang of it.

Very interesting, I mean if you didn’t see the pellets it would really have you  especially with a name of the pocket shot, lol, but I can see it’s use and accuracy   but I really do like the pouch with carabiner!

How about a pocket style slingshot?
I've added one to a rather long list of future purchases. Looks like it could be a lot of fun!

I just finished watching a few videos on it. Looks like this could be a lot of fun and require some practice to get proficient with it.  :hatsoff:

Neat little box and gimmic.

When I see those survival kits I always find items that are not quite what you hope for.
The wiresaws always brake on me whenever I tried them.
And Hunting items...come on. In a survival situation, what are you going to hunt with that thing?

Fishing kit is great, you can leave the bait in the water and just wait or use the string for many other things. Like snares (look for bird traps!) or shelter.

These kits often are put together by someone who has no clue or is a marketing guy that just likes certain stuff.
Be honest, in a survival situation you freeze to death or die of thirst faaaaaar quicker than you can ever starve, yet there is always some fancy "get me food" item.

When we were kids we used to make these types of shooters ourself from balloons and and some small cardboard roll from the kitchen.

I know, this is heavy duty rubber and fancy plastic with steel balls.
Yet I have to understand the benefit of that space and weight to use ratio. (looking at the ammo).
What can you hit with these witout practice at 10+ meters or even 5?

Actually a fun piece of kit...and surprisingly accurate with a bit of practice. I can see how this could get you a bird in an emergency setting. Frankly rather compact design and the weight is hardly noticeable.

I watched those videos about this tool Dan.

I still use an old style slingshot called a wrist rocket and carry it in the field. We sometimes use it to launch rocks onto the other side of a patch of woods hoping the deer will run out the side in which we are waiting.Sometimes it works, sometime not.
