I saw a trick mentioned on another forum. Chop some boiled eggs into tiny chunks, stick them in a plastic bag, and shove your copper flashlight in there... when you pull it out 8 hours later it will have a groovy dappled patina. (I haven't tried it, but the result looked pretty cool. For those who are looking for an Insta-Patina.)

I really really enjoy this light and must have used it a half dozen times today alone. BUT, I can't stand the way the head turns to turn it on. Counter clockwise just seems wrong to me... my other olights a clicks so I don't have any issue or preconceived notions. But it seems backwards, and I do it backwards every time I got to turn it on I instinctualy.

Try holding the head of the light with your left hand and twisting the body clockwise. It's how I like to do it.
I was a long time Maglite user (Solitaire LED, Mini Mag AA and Mini Mag AAA) and had to get used to my newer lights... Mags turns clockwise while other twisties I own turn counter-clockwiseSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
First impressions of the I3E are good but I do notice the threads for the twisty feel gritty and stick. I cleaned and lubed the threads and o-ring, but it's still the same. It doesn't feel like it's dirty. It feels like the threads were not ground well. Hopefully it will smooth out with some use.
damn that does look nice kaput. looks like an A/C or plumbing pipe after I braze or solder, I'm not happy with the progress on mine + the emitter is off center. I've alternated this light on my keychain and neck lanyard and its just taking too long, don't think it will ever get that nice color yours has
