Your argument is unconvincing because you only own an SI, get a Farmer and I'll entertain further argument :D

That is very true, but as I have no use for a saw, it means that 1/3 of the layers are just wasted on me I'm afraid.

Soldier Sighting:

Builder onsite today had an 86 Victorinox Soldier with hollow rivet (and homemade tie-wire bail).

I didn't know Vic did a soldier with a hollow rivet.

Just noticed what I said above.

This is still my thought on the Farmer as I am not a saw user, but the added layer really does make it very comfortable to use.

So... what would you like on that layer?

Voting for the SI even though I don't have one. Maybe that's why I want one. :D

I picked Wenger because their Swiss cross looks better.

Wenger for the bail. The "difference" in the tools is pretty insignificant.

What I really have to get is an old DAK. The unpolished tools and the key ring intrigue me.

What I'd also really like is for SwissBianco to do a custom run of Farmers with hollow rivets.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

Wenger SI for me, nothing against the Vic at all since I do not have one to compare it too. I have the Wenger SI and have used it pretty hard I feel for a pocket knife and have had no complaints. The bail is a moot point for me. I took mine off, for me at least I found that it carried a bit better in the pocket. The only SAK's that I have left the keyring on are my SwissChamp and My Rescue.

Maybe the keyring is a mental thing, but I feel that the SAK's ride better in my pocket without it. It could be though that I am wearing my pants too tight to try and look SEXY LOL
