Rescue Tool - thoughts ?
« on: March 07, 2020, 10:09:54 PM »
As my Swiss Army collection grows, im really starting to like the Rescue Tool in the glowing yellow scales. Anyone use one / have it as their EDC ?

Was thinking of getting one to have in my car and possibly to carry once in a while.

I don't have one, but my Swisstool has the rescue blade and I can't sing it's praises enough.  That is one sharp piece of equipment!

I have one in my car for emergencies.  I have used it for some normal basic uses, but fortunately have never had to use it for its rescue use.  I think it os a handy tool to keep around.

I have a couple. One in my wife's car and one in my 'go bag'. I don't commute any more or I'd get a third just for my car. I'd consider carrying one if it wouldn't get unwanted attention.

I really like them but haven't used either much.

Just watch out for copies/fakes that are nowhere near the quality of the original.  I think there was a thread about the fakes somewhere on his forum.

I find it slightly too heavy as an EDC. It lives in my car in case something goes bad; I drive a lot. Beautiful, well designed multitool.

I have one in each of my vehicles.  I don’t carry them, nor do they see much use.  Solid  tools though, and I like having them around just in case.

As stated earlier in the thread, be sure to buy from a reputable dealer to avoid fakes.

Just ordered one on eBay brand new in box for $80 including shipping and taxes from a very reputable seller.

This knife will complete my collection ( until next week Hahahaha ).

I have one rescue tool. Carry with me in car trips.
It's a good knife in it's own right.
Very good blade also present in the Soldier, a sturdy bottle opener.
The curved serrated blade is awesome. Cut belts, ropes with ease.

Knife came in last night !

Very impressed by it !

Scales glow in the dark. Had it on my nightstand and it glowed all night long.

All the tools seem very robust. The locking main knife had like 1mm of play but from what I’ve read that’s normal.

Gonna keep this one in my car and also carry it from time to time. Very useful tool to have. Thinking about picking up a black one to put in the GF’s car.
