The Micra is awesome!
on: March 08, 2017, 10:33:05 PM
I typically always brag about how good Vic scissors are, but when it comes to heavy materials, I think the Micra's are some of the best.   This afternoon, the old ball peen hammer my granddad carried in the mines had a loose handle, and I needed to make a wedge.  My granddad keeps wooden shims in his workshop, but I couldn't find  them.  Right beside where I was working, I found a few wooden Lowes paint stirring sticks, and since I wasn't carrying a Vic with a wood saw (which I usually do, but today, I was out of town I went without my Camper I'd been carrying the rest of the week), so I grabbed my new Micra that was in my pocket to cut a small piece off to make a wedge--that little Micra went through it like it was nothing.

Not bad for something only slightly bigger than a Vic Classic SD.   I still wish LM would start giving a V-Grind to the small tool blades--right hand chisel grind doesn't work well for a left handed individual like myself.

What do these particular paint sticks look like?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

LM must be doing something right if they haven't changed the setup of the Micra in what maybe 15-20 years its been in production..
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
