Some people evidently don't know it, but Tinkers are just female Spartans.  Just like the Bijou is a female Classic.  That's why Tinkers are so cute and snuggly.  Best wishes.  G

Happy Tinker Day.  The black Tinker is looking its age in this photo.  It doesn't look quite so rugged in person.  Either that or my eyes are playing tricks.  Once cold weather gets here the Opinel will go back in my coat pocket for the duration.  Best wishes.  G

I don't honestly know how the Tinker got so scuffed up.  Must have had something abrasive in my pocket at one point.  I buffed out the worst side of the Tinker with some polish.  I never did get all the deeper abrasions just below the shield out, but it does look some better now.  The tools are still straight and tight.  It is an old SAK with the can key on the phillips.  I might have to post an 'after' photo next Tuesday.  Best wishes.  G

I'm jumping the gun a little on Tinker Tuesday.  I said that I would show my scruffy black Tinker after it had a little polish.  I didn't try for a mirror finish.  In fact I couldn't with the polish I was using.  I does look some better, or maybe the lighting is just different than the outdoor photo.  Whatever.  Best wishes.  G

Tony, I actually think it was a trick of the lighting on the outside photo with the Opi that made it look so bad.  I didn't mention the other black SAK.  It is an advertiser Bijou.  Bought it for one dollar years ago.  I think I bought it and two other Classic SDs at Goodwill.  All a dollar each.  So many of the other stores around the Goodwill have changed or gone out of business that I never get over there any more.  The Bijou was unused.  The two Classics were stuck together with some black tar looking mung.  They cleaned up just fine.  I carried one of them during the Classic Challenge.  Best wishes.  G

I had my Deluxe Tinker in my pocket today. Used it to peel an orange or two but forgot to take a picture. Here's an old one
