Thanks Baz - the Phoenix Tinker was a gift from Lord Corkscrew of the parish of Phoenix in the shire of Arizona. It's a beauty isn't it?  :salute:

Compact SuperTinker?

Absolutely! Sometimes the typical Compact doesn't cut it in the working world...so if you need a phillips, swap out the CS. And while you're at it, swap the hook for an awl. Now you have a Compact/Tinker...two layers and able to navigate the working world a little better (at least for me).

Pardon if I missed it elsewhere, but does anyone know offhand, or can anyone direct me to an article that explains when it was that Victorinox stopped cutting the can key slot into the Phillips head? I have a late 80's Super Tinker that does have that feature, and a BSA Tinker of roughly the same vintage that does not have the can key slot.

Have seen many an article about squared Phillips, inline Philips, and dating many other aspects of these tool, but not the can key. I am guessing thye stopped sometime in the 90's based on the BSA Tinker' s half-stop SD/bottle opener, the stamps on the tang and such, but those two features are the same on these two Tinkers. Only the can key sets them apart.

I am curious to know and more closely date both.

Thanks in advance for your help

I've been carrying the Executive today but used the Tinker to open a couple of packages as I didn't want packing tape glue residue on the Executive.

Wot?

1) Behind R2
2) Yes he is. Even smaller than tiny Tom Selleck. His crimes against humanity are also much smaller than big Stalins. Which is nice.

Love that peasant minifig!

D'OH! I need glasses. Move along

Being a native Dane I own far too much Lego for my own damn good. Most of it is stored in a barn, as Mrs T14 vetoes any notion of me bringing it all into the house.
I have a few hundred castle minifigs hidden away in the house to tie me over until we can afford a house big enough to house both my collection AND Mrs T14.
All I know is that I don't know anything - but I can't prove it!

Your Lego is stored IN A BARN??? Can I come round to play please?  :ahhh

Could you solve your dilemma by building a Mrs T14 from Lego? Best of both worlds.

Just kidding of course......... :D
