Another Mythbusters sighting
on: October 07, 2008, 02:54:59 PM
I was watching the Mentos/Diet Coke episode last night and Jamie was using a Gerber.  I couldn't tell what kind, but the blade was definitely a Gerber style sheepsfoot.

Anyone else catch it?

No I didn't, but I haven't seen Myth Busters in a while, or watched tv for that matter.

In the last couple of years, I have found that the tv is getting less entertaining.

If Def would come out with a Multitool.org television series I would start watching TV again. :)

I'm not too proud to say I love television.

Ideally repeats of American sitcoms. Friends is good, but Becker, Frasier, and Seinfeld are all excellent also.

SERENITY NOW!

Heheh.

Umm, so yeah, multitools are great.

Saw the Hollywood Security Obstacle Course episode last night.

Grant was busting out his (I'm going to say Old Wave?) all over the place for minor repairs to the course.

Jamie flashed his (not sure) a few times repairing Adam's Wall-Climber outfit.

Grant did indeed have an Classic Wave. I am almost positive that Jaimie had a Freehand.

Are we sure they're not encouraged to use these things on screen (it wouldn't seem so, since they use all brands)

These guys have a full machinery workshop, a bunch of off-screen lackeys, and what appears to be an endless budget (or at least a very clever purchasing department), and they can't manage to have a toolbox with some pliers and screwdrivers handy?

It's quite possible. I know that LM sent Adam and Jaime both Charge ALX's with their names engraved. So, maybe these companies are sending the tools to them? I am not sure, but it's possible!

I don't know, in my last job I had my own fully kitted out workshop and I would still go for my Leatherman rather than walk two yards to get to my tool box. ::)

I keep a multitool in the tray in my tool box so I don't have to dig through it to get a tool.

If you're going to do that, why not just get all your multis, and set them up each with a different tool opened & ready to go....
