I've been looking at the Inox range of Victorinox watches. Almost tempted over the line ... but has anyone got any experience cos what I've read so far on the web has been mixed. What does the Panel think ?  :ahhh

Solidly made swiss watches, a bit big for me, but I still like them

I see them as classier GShocks. Strong, accurate, chunky reliable and rather pretty.

Too big and squared to be considered proper office gear.

Thanks Corwyn. I do wear my G's to the office ... but I can see a rubber or cord strap might be too much !

As said before, comparable to the more expensive gshocks, but with a lot less functions. To actually get the advertised toughness you need to have a rubber  covering on the body of the watch (supplied).  If you can find them for way below RRP they are good to buy. Do not be seduced by the swiss movement, quartz, as it does not indicate superiority, compared to other established brands.

You can get them with a metal bracelet too, but it will cost you.

Oddly enough, I prefer my old plastic bodied Victorinox Renegade watches over the newer models I have. The new ones are a bit too large and thick for me. The old Renegades are not as large, and thinner, and keep decent time. Seem to last forever as well.

Yep, they do involve breaking a piggy bank or two for what they are. For the moment my G still makes more sense.
