I keep having some script going run away and locking me up until I tell the browser to kill it. This started Monday I think, but its tripping me up on about 2/3s of the posts I look at.  :cry:

Running Firefox 52, I'm current there. Did we get a new sponsor or something?

 :think: We did switch to https last week or so, would that maybe be causing the problem ???

I haven't had this problem and I am using FF as well :shrug:

You have one of your pictures in the 2019 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. I'm using Google Chrome. No problems, but I do get a notificatiions about:
- page trying to load scripts from unverified source.
- plug-ins being blocked.

I'm pretty sure this is to do with the forum being HTTPS now to avoid the insecure login implemented in newer browsers. I get that stores and shopping sites should have it, but forums seems a bit on the over cautious side.

Avatars for example haven't been fixed and show as HTTP instead of HTTPS. Some other things are not updated to HTTPS on the forum and may be linking to external scripts on normal HTTP.

Nothing else has really changed here, except temporarily removing member map since it doesn't work without HTTPS now and requires some fiddling to get it working correctly again.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

re-reading your post, have you logged out, cleared any related cache to the forum? HTTPS change was before (Wednesday iirc). Also we temporarily removed the member map that was causing grief/misbehaving/requiring some tweaking.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
