That time when your MT saved the day...
on: April 01, 2017, 10:08:03 PM
We've all heard the stories about MTs stopping bullets, or being used for emergency surgery on a rhino (or person).  I'd love to hear our members' stories about 'that time when' your multitool saved the day in some spectacular way! Doesn't have to be as epic as stopping a bullet, but what's the most significant thing you've ever done with your multitool?

Here's mine, to kick things off:  I was working backstage at a Chicago concert a few years ago as a roadie. Shortly before showtime, a power distribution box shorted out and we lost power to the guitar tech's booth where he was prepping the instruments. I was the lowest guy on the totem pole but no one else seemed to have the right tools, for reasons that I'll never understand. I loaned Mr. Pinchy to our crew chief, the electrical short was repaired, and the show went off without a hitch!

OK--your turn!

I was working as road crew on a load in They went to hook up the motor controller and realized that they had the wrong cabeling adapter. They had the parts needed, just not on the correct cables. I stripped the two cables and made the one needed. Problem solved.
