Got my first axe.

I finally bought my first axe. It's the Fiskars X15. I only use a axe a few times a year and used to just borrow my brothers but figured what the heck, I need my own. I love vintage or older axes and would love to get into one of those soon, but this will do for now. The handle weighs next the nothing and is hollow but they say it is unbreakable. Seems like a nice setup for a reasonable price. I love the sheath design. I wanted the larger 28" version but the last one was sold and I went down a little length. For my limited usage that is ok and makes carrying it by the sheath a breeze and is the perfect length. It is also a acceptable length to strap to my pack when hunting but a hatchet may be in order for that. It should work out well!

According to a folder I received with my latest SAK, Fiskars have glassfibre reinforced handles.
Good luck breaking that

Nice one Cap
Those handles are very tough and the few I have been around take an edge very well
Congrats

Nice choice mate.
I may not like the looks of the Fiskars, but they are good axes.
