Victorinox Soldier - The Birth Year SAK

Greetings El Comrades,  I am pleased to report that I have received my birth year SAK in the mail  :mail: today and I am El ated.  It wasn't an easy thing to do as I so naively thought at first.   Actually, I had already got my birth year Soldier on auction only to discover an undisclosed bend in the blade upon receipt.  El Corkscrew does not dig bends (who does?) so I promptly returned it.  Just a few weeks later I spotted another one labeled as a Pioneer.  I knew this would not fool any halfway SAK-savvy bidders and it was in great shape so I put down more money than I'm usually comfortable with and hoped for the best.   Obviously, I won the auction, though the grocery I mean SAK budget was certainly stretched..  but heck, this is DEFINITELY worth it.  This thing is in awesome shape except for some light scratching on the blade, but overall the blades is pretty boss.   :D

Needless to say, it's a good day for me.

Got my own birth year SAK by coincidence by seeing an ad on a second hand site, from a seller only a 20min drive from here.
It was even put up for sale on my exact birthday last year. Got it dirt cheap to top it off.

Never realised how hard it is to get one from the exact same year untill I saw threads like yours.
