Better Surge Clip

So, on reddit someone posted about a better surge clip and I have to admin the standard leatherman clip is terrible on the surge. I know there are some fixes here, glueing a piece of metal so it does not rotate so much, but it just did not seem like a viable long term solution. So when I read the Reddit post and watched the very truncated youtube video, literally 30 seconds long showing a guy trying to wag the clip and it staying mostly put I was sold. So i bought 2, one for my new gen surge and one for the og surge. and in both it works perfectly. I am not going to add a video but the pix should tell the tale.

In each picture i am applying force to the new clip and a push and release on the old clip. So the range of motion on the old clip is, as you can see WIDE the new clip is nearly what the leatherman clip is on a charge or wave. it feels much much better. I would guess less than 3mm or 1/8" total range of motion vs the swing of the leatherman clip

The only issue, in my opinion is the finish. I don't care myself, But I'm sure that some of you that aren't war boys will not like the shiny chrome of valhalla
So I messaged the seller and they are considering other finishes, So I told them I'd run a poll to help them decide. To be crystal clear. I ordered and paid before I contacted them. This is not a sponsorship thing. whatever happens I am not going to benefit from what you vote or do.

I have never really had a problem myself with the stock clip on a Surge but I usually sheath carry it if I am going to carry it  :cheers: I did vote for the matte finish BO though :tu:

The only aftermarket clips I have bought didn't fit the Wave or Charge well :think: maybe I need to try them on my Surge :salute:

I can vouch for the super glue/piece of metal combo to be perfectly working. Though I admit its not that elegant.
