Probably my second-favourite version of the Climber (after the Climber Deluxe). I really like having a Huntsman Lite without a saw!

Hi all, I've just registered.  I'm trying to work out how to post in the Climber Club and not sure if this will appear as a reply.  Sorry for my lack of competence, I'm a relatively old fart.

This was taken on a potato but it does show what this is I guess, it's my Climber with black plus scales, with a pocket clip.  There's a guy on ebay UK who ships scales with clips attached, I must say he does a very good job and they are around the same price as you'd pay for the scales alone elsewhere.  Hope this isn't seen as advertising!

Anyway I bought my Climber on a whim about 4 years ago as it was reasonably priced and with standard black scales, my fave colour for celidor SAKs.  I already had a Hiker, Farmer and Classic SD (black scales) and tended to carry either the Hiker or Farmer with the Classic.  For quite a while my Climber lay in the drawer but in the last 2 years it's probably been my most carried SAK.

Welcome ShropshireLad.  I haven't posted a Climber photo in a while.  One of my favorites.  The Altheas are not doing as well as last week, but are still blooming some.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

I just recently found a couple CLIMBERs on the auction site with make an offer option.   Plus free shipping, took a chance and next thing I know they are on the way to me😜

Tool sets have seen little use if any, and the scales some scuffs and scratch’s.   Some polished out…

Have the Stayglow! Love the Spartan with a scizzors

I stumbled upon a kit that more like a SPARTAN and has scissors.

It has only to backside tools, corkscrew and AWL.

It does not have a small blade, it however has a a nail/fail blade in that position. It is not a 91mm size, it is an 85mm.
And, it is not a VICTORINOX. It is a WENGER product call the TRAVELER.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

It is a 3 layer as well.

It is also RED!

I quess it was discontinued after Vic bought WENGER and incorporated the DELMONT SERIES into the Evolution family and the EVO14 is the same tool set with contorted scales.

I did find several TRAVELERS ON the auction site, in fact I snagged a BLUE model that is an advertisement pieces.  Will not arrive until late next week.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I have one in its clam shell, NOS, and had not really paid it much attention.
Then, a new member asked for help using a Swiss Army knife his wife misplaced with the description SPARTAN like w/scissors.

91 mm, Large blade, awl, cork screw, file, can opener and cap lifter.

No parcel hook, no small blade, yet SPARTAN like.

Well the closest I came up with since a 91mm Victorinox with file that came to mind was a Mountaineer. But 3 backside tools.

I recalled that my EVo14 matches the description and searching SAKWIKI, listed the TRAVELER.
Thought the least I could do was share my findings with UscgSal. Even though WENGRR never made 91s, but 85s. Darn near the same😜
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Your light BLUE is gorgeous!

A promotional piece as well.  ROCHE has offices in INDIANAPLOIS, down the road from me about 99 miles.

Thank you for sharing.

I do belief your tool tastes align very closely to mine as well.

I have a couple old Wenger Travelers with a Victorinox style scissor spring, one with a bail and one without. It's a nice size to carry but I miss having the screwdriver tip on the can opener.

^ Do you have pictures that you can share of your models.

I like to study variety. Plus know very little about WENGER, models.

TIA 😀
