I bought it It's official, i'm going to make a mod, for the first time! Now to think it over, what will I make, what donors do I need, and how does it all work

I'm very curious about your ideas.I've got ideas for a 'laborant' in the working. As soon as I get my hands on a Spatula I'll have some DIYing to do!

I would add the fish scaler to complete the "interesting/unusual tools" SAK.

The Spatula will be used as a spoon I presume?

There are several of those war-stories out there. When I bough my first SAK 30 years ago they also gave me a booklet with Victorinox stories. One was about a doctor on a plane ans someone choked. He used the small blade to puncture the larynx to give the patient air again. Lovely stories, stuck with me for all that time. The great thing is that every SAK user has simmilar stories. I do. Except I don't go around punching people in the larynx with my small blade. EDITJust found this on the Victorinox website:So, no dice. UnfortunatelyYes that is why they made the rescue blade on the 58mm Saks. The angle was better for emergency trachritomies. This was back when they made a lot of customs advertising Saks for pharmaceutical companies that they would then give to doctors for free to promote their drug or company.
Let's resurrect this thread, as I'm also looking for a spatula. Many times, I find myself in the situation where I need to stir a coffee and would prefer to avoid to use those plastic thingies, which are really bad for the environment, and will, most likely, end up in the ocean.Like it has been said, buying an XLT just for that tool is very cost inefficient.I wonder why no one has had one custom made... Maybe in titanium or something. This would be a good challenge for Syph007 I'd buy one! Sent from my Redmi Note 5
So I realize these options are arguably less fun than a custom SAK, but if I were really keen on having a reusable coffee stir, I would probably (a) just use the big blade on whatever 91 mm SAK I happened to be carrying, (b) carry a Vic Fisherman or Angler and use the fish scaler as a stir, or (c) add a Case doctor's knife (with spatula, obviously) to my EDC.
I have a teaspoon in my lunchbox as a general dining utensil: it replaced a fork and dessert spoon. I have another teaspoon in my shoulder bag. Indispensable when the need occurs.
Sounds like you need a hobo knife
Thank you for your replies!I really would prefer the spatula, but I guess I would be satisfied with the fish scaler. So, my question is, does anyone have a fish scaler later to sell? PM me if you do.Sent from my Redmi Note 5
The main blade is one of the thickest layer you can have in a sak, so it's best to keep it slim, and the wood saw, metal file and fish scaler are the slimmest! Sent from my Redmi Note 5
