The real problem I found in trying to do a passaround with the Zilla tool I had was just the logistics of it all. The tool would have been shipped around just way too much, and it would have taken about a year to compleate.

Well, obviously the passaround won't be in chronological order, we'd have to establish which continent it traverses first, then some of our more generous members would be elected to foot the bill when it passes over great bodies of water...

Or something.

EDIT: And I guess we should set some kind of limit for the number of people.

Anyway, back to the topic.

They actually have passarounds on bladeforums, but they had a bout of stealing and scamming, so they had to limit the passarounds to a signup and you have had to be a member of the forum for at least 6 months or something.

You just cant trust a whole lot of people nowadays and I am finding this out more and more everyday, I am very sorry to say.

The problem I see is this site is too international to do it effectively. Notice on most other forum passaround it's limited to CONUS, or at most u.s. only. The time/money/risk it takes to send stuff around the world is just too much.

For the Multitool.org PowerLock 2.0 Passaround we only have one international member getting involved- the rest are in the US. Of course if you really want to push the international angle, the tool is currently in Canada!

If anyone is thinking of becoming a charter member and getting in on the new SOG passaround...do so now! I want to get it going so I can handle this new SOG!

I've been EDCing my "old" Powerlock again to get the feel back for it so when I handle the new one I might be able to spot some differences in use easier
