Wow this cup holds ice

Living in Houston having a good cup, thermos or cooler is important in the summer if you work outside or are on the road. I finaly replaced my 6yr old Bubba foam insulated mug with a Walmart OzarkTrail 40oz "Yeti" knock-off.
Here's how it went:
At work, in car cupholder
8:30p filled with ice up to the line where it reduces in size, then toped off with Coke
Roughly 12 midnight, poured another cold can on top of remaining ice
2:30a went home still half full of watered down Coke and ice
5:30a went to bed left it on coffee table
4pm went to wash it and found this chunk of consolidated ice still floating in it
Thats almost 20 hours from when I first got Ice at the gas station

I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.
But for now I'm just a lost jack of trades with neither mastery nor home. ~NoaIsumi

Not a bad cup it seems.
Hooked, like everyone else.
All hail the hook!

I have a 30 oz and a 20 oz.
Yes, they do work. The larger is used for ice water everyday, 2/3 full with ice, then fill with chilled water. When water gone add a bottle of cold water to get through rest of day some times 2 bottles.
The smaller one does hot coffee duty and hot chocolate at night in hotel.
Often the coffee is to hot to drink, two hours later, just able to sip. This is in a truck when temps outside near zero + / - a few degrees F

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!
Hope yours is as good!

There's nothing more important then a good mug or water bottle, I ended up getting a hydroflask, filled it up with ice, I mean as much as it could hold, and filled it up with water. We left around 8am for a trip to NY during one of the most nastiest hot summers, I'm talking at least 100, and spent the day at the zoo, that bottle was my new best friend! I ended up refilling it about twice all to drain it by the time we got back to the car, but here's the best part, just before we left I saw a water bottle sitting in the trunk and that thing was on fire, I opened my bottle to still see some ice so I dumped it in and caped it off, gave it a few shakes and jumped in for the ride home. Needless to say it melted the last of the ice but turned it cold to enjoy the ride to get home by 8pm.
So ever since then that's all we use, we both like cold flavored drinks so I make our own flavored ice, so when it melts it doesn't dilute the taste, the unique thing and trick to it is the larger the ice, the longer it takes to melt. So I use large Rx bottles, works great!

Not sure how long it holds ice, but my now 6 yr old Thermos Glacier keeps my coffee warm easily 4 to 5 hours, one of the best 30 euros I've ever spent
Oh and that's AFTER I have let it cool to drinking temperatures as the coffee dispenser produces scalding hot coffee to begin with
