I liked him in this one particularly for trying to take on the broken arm. He also gets bonus respect for being honest enough to admit he couldn't do it.
Great job on a great thread! It's almost like watching the episodes again. He doesn't do everything right, but he would probably be the first one to tell you that. He definitely one of my favorite living survival-type-guys, of the ones I know (probably a fraction of the whole). I'd like to see him and Matt Graham do a dual survival-esque show. I feel they both have very realistic ideas on what is what.
The folding saw brand is a Coghlan's. This thread is awesome. Been a while since I watched all of Les' stuff. Going to add it to the re-watch list.
He had many dedicated tools, as one would, going on a dog-sled expedition.A nice knife, to cut the tin, dig holes, and cut meat.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)A nice axe, for spreading butter on toast.(Image removed from quote.)And a folding saw. I can't make out the name. Is it Corona?(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)It's time for Sled Dog Facts! 2x07 - Behind the scenesAlthough this is sort of a compilation episode, there are no multi-tools in this that have been shown in other episodes. Every tool in this episode is in this episode only.In Labrador, one of the crew's snowmobile broke down, and one had a Gerber with him. Or two. (This episode is not in HD, sadly).Sheaths spotted, both Gerber, if I am not mistaken. Still, two on one belt. (Image removed from quote.)And here it is. (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)Another interesting tool is this. I think there is a fork folded on the scale, so it's a hobo tool of some sort.(Image removed from quote.)In the Amazon episode, he had native Waorani tribesmen as guides before the episode. Here one is using a Victorinox 111mm slidelock model to sharpen blowgun darts. Too short of a clip to identify it, but it's there.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)Victorinox Huntsman1x01 - Canadian Boreal Forest1x04 - Georgian SwampOG Wave1x02 - Arizona Desert1x03 - Costa Rica1x10 - Behind the scenesVictorinox SwissTool1x05 - Canadian Arctic1x06 - Mountain1x07 - Canyonlands1x08 - Plane Crash1x09 - Lost at sea1x10 - Behind the scenesLeatherman Charge2x01 - Kalahari2x02 - Amazon2x03 - Labrador2x04 - African Plains2x05 - AlaskaLeatherman Wave2x06 - South PacificGerber MP6002x07 - Behind the scenesVictorinox 111mm2x07 - Behind the scenesSAKalike2x07 - Behind the scenes
Got to respect a chap who carries two Gerbers. I wonder if they are both MTs or if one might be a large folding knife like the Gator or somesuch?

Why would you own more than one MT?
