I’ve just found a photo I took a year ago today.

Thought you might like it.

I’d just bought the Mr Crunch for a ridiculous amount of money and thought it’d be fun to get a picture of it with another tool with unusual jaws.

Nice shot  :tu:

It begs a question though. Is the Mr Crunch that much better :pok: I sincerely hope so

If I’d been able to get the Mr Crunch for retail price, I would be happy saying it feels twice as nice as the Dual Force and would be carried twice as often.

At the prices I paid, the Gerber is an interesting tool, basically an occasional carry or glove box spare. I agree with others about the less than brilliant file, but I do like the screwdriver and pliers.
Mr Crunch is obviously more of a collectible, although I would use the blunt jaws more often and would love them on a production Leatherman. Big fan of the Free series tools.

For anyone not familiar with the size difference, the Dual Force jaws open much wider than most multitools, and there’s plenty of leverage from the longer handles.

Five minutes with a bench grinder, and you've got blunt nose jaws.  And, its a good excuse to buy another Leatherman.

I think that would be a good swap for the Center Drive.  Those pliers look good!  I agree about that file.  I've not been a fan of Gerber's files.  I'd love to swap out theirs with Leatherman's, Vic's, etc.

Took the antenna off our camper today. The back wire cutters were a little awkward, but I appreciate the heavier pliers for jobs like this.

Great job!  That looks like it can apply some decent torque with those pliers.

I had one of those jobs this morning where only the Dual Force would do.

Soooo much wider than anything else, including my beloved Crunch.

Awesome that Dual Force is helping, i really like how wide Dual Force pliers open to give better grip for bigger things.

Those recalcitrant hoses are the worst. Nice to see the Dual Force got the job done!

The centre drive driver of gerber in dual force is nice. Tightening some screw and nuts of a child chair.
