Some new Black Oxide info from someone who worked for Leatherman in development.

BO Crunch and PST II were made in a limited # of 100 pieces most sold in Europe.

BO Pulse was one of the first mil specific tools Leatherman made. They had a spike, cap crimper, plus a few other specific tools for demo.

Micra, Squirt, Juice, Skeletool even one garden/hunting tool, one Genius, all had black options developed for military. Only a few ever made a production run but they are out there mostly under 1000 units of each more like under 50 units.

Maybe that someone has at least one picture of BO Crunch or BO PST II or BO Micra or BO Squirt or BO Juice etc? It is very strange that for all these years there are no photos of them anywhere  ???

Hopefully !

After getting outbid and outbid I finally got this new to me BO Wave and I am truly stoked :tu: it of course has the plier head rubbing issue but BO always exaggerates this problem  but otherwise it is great :like: the blade look to be unused and unsharpened, still factory sharp :woohoo:

Pretty sure the plier head rubbing is on purpose, that little bit of friction keeps everything shut.

Just re-read this entire topic (because I wanted to check if I already posted something here ... ::)).

And that's how I found out about the BO ST300 CC being a bit "special", as it seems.

So, here are some pics of my BO ST300 CC (old pics, so not the best quality and no calendar material):

And here's one with its smaller brother, the BO Rebar:
