Do you want a bigger version Wave? Or, a smaller version ST300?Answer this, and you will know your path..

More benefits than the Rebar. (Size doesn't bother me I don't think). However, does the file on the Surge prove to be as tough as the one on say, the Wave?Having the bit exchanger seems to be more flexible and breakable than a fixed file?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The rebar is pretty cool. But the stronger blades etc on the surge really make it a heavier duty tool.Did I mention the outside opening scissors...
Thanks Aloha and Zed. The BO is indeed MT drool worthy. How do the plier heads differ? Both with replaceable cutters, but does the bigger footprint of the Surge give more prying and cutting power because it's just bigger? Also, are the cutters in either of these MT's different steels compared to fixed cutting blades on Waves or Charges?I heard somewhere they are 154cm but that could be Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got the Rebar myself and carry it for work.Because I'd be less heart broken over it compared to my other tools...It does the job, but just doens't have the same "soul" as my Charge.

Or 420? Same as the wave I think and sharpend easy but can also blunt easy but i always carry a seperate knife so was no issue to me,there is something about the surge and if you prefer your wave then the surge is a good choice, plus it's outboard scissors work a treat and strong,I used mine on zipties with no problems

The ones on the Wave are unreal for their size but as you said above about the Surge's pair, some more power and cutting surface would be unrivalled. The way I'm leaning so far is that the Surge would be perfect for doing some real work day in day out. But if someone was to have an easy day ahead, where comfort and a minimalistic uniform really counts, the Rebar comes in flying. For me in my job, I have big days where there is some real work to be done. But others so very little and I usually can find out at least a day or two ahead. So perhaps an irregular rotation could be the (almost) perfect solution for myself and my irregular work schedule. I had a Charge tti, until I had to forfeit it at security at the airport. But I was always conscious of over loading it and killing the beautiful thing. A Rebar would be great for that purpose, with the main point being the cost to replace the MTDo you ever find yourself wishing you had a little more gripping power or sighing during the process of pulling out the in-handle knives?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On a sidenote: mine came with modded in scissors. If not for those, I would've probably sold it ahead...
Thanks Kevin and Poncho. The Surge is looking pretty damn good at the moment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Strange question but, are the scissors on the Surge fit for making finger nail 'repairs' on the go like the Wave's scissors can?Nail knicks are my sworn enemy
