I've still got a hankering for a British Army locking clasp knife. I saw this, this looks exactly like the Sheffield clasp knife but a different name. Same quality? Similar? Help!!!

DTH - I just picked up these Italian Marlinspike knives from Sportsmans Guide

Though they are advertised as used, all three of the ones I received were coated in Cosmoline and had factory edges. Liners, bolsters and blades are carbon steel. I was expecting a lot less for the price, but it turned out to bea real nice deal.

They certainly do import things, for example they import exclusively for Leatherman, Wenger, Buck, Zippo, Fisher etc They may well source locally too.

I have every sympathy for companies that get exclusive contracts and then use them to dress their customers in little St Trinians skirts while they bend them over for a.....

But i have to, otherwise i wouldn't sleep well at night...

I had a Whitby original British army knife , the one with the spike and non locking and it was made in Sheffield . Cant say for sure if this one is . Why not email the seller and ask whats on the blade tang .
