That's a real beauty, tell me, are all soldiers dated by year? 42/43/44/45/46 etc all the way up to 2017?
All are numbered, but Victorinox make no soldiers in 1958, 1960, 1961, 1972 and 1974.And now sadly my year of birth is 1972, so no SAK for me
Thanks, i have one dated 17 but would be nice to have my birth year (69), so there is hope it exists somewhere
I have one as well. I was quite surprised I found for $20. Unlike yours however, mine isn't in the greatest shape. The blade is half an inch short and oversharpened with a grinder. That's a really great find! Living in the US means a knife intended for use in Switerland isn't easy to find. Mine came from a Montana based Etsy seller, with a ton of knives in not the best shape selling for $20 shipped, regardless of what they were worth; some incredibly undervalued, some overvalued.
